This song wasn’t supposed to be about you
I had it all written and it wasn’t about you
But it still felt like it was sort of about you
I wrote a different song and it still was about you

I guess I’m just writing about who we were
I loved you when I still knew who we were

I push people away because they shouldn't have to put up with me
